"ok" is definitively a legal sense. It is ok and legal for a person to be a creationist. They shouldn't be incarcerated due to their beliefs. To say that it is not ok to be a creationist, what lengths would you go to to deprive them of their right to believe in it? So long as they admit that it has no scientific backing, they are fine, there is no problem with them believing in an admitted fairy tale. The moment they claim that they have a legitimate theory and press it into schools is when they cross the line. This crosses the line between church and state, this makes us as a whole look like a gigantic group of morons, and it increases our already growing gap between our education standards and the world's.

Those who attempt to press it into schools should have an injunciton and cease and desist order filed against them, and if the continue to violate it, thrown in jail, fined, or both. Legal process is its due, but I won't fault anyone for a thought crime.
