Saw one up close at a rally. Looks a little ungainly but still a cool deal for the wheelchair bound. It is not cheap though. I don't remember the exact price, just my reaction to it.

Electronically by push-button probably, or it has an automatic transmission. Both are pretty common in handicap-conversion bikes/trikes.

I've seen similar rigs, but not as polished as that one. Most I've seen don't have a shell on them at all.

They did this for a Gentleman as well on a show called "Counting Cars" that premiers on The History Channel. My respect goes out to those riders who would go to a great distance just to continue doing their thing!
