I tried this at my hometown mall.. Some weight sensor alarm started going off as I was climbing on. I freaked out and fell off before I even had a chance to lay down. Everyone in the near vicinity stopped and stared at me laying on the escalator in a clout of self pity and embarrassment.

I sat there for a moment on that escalator, slowly moving down and away from everyone's shameful stare. I finally stood up and walked the rest of the way down those dreadful moving stairs. My expectations were so high only to be smashed down. Damn you internet.
