So true. it would take forever to re-sort that collection. =)

One LEGO brick is awful, a bunch of them aren't nearly as bad. I'm sure science could explain that somehow.

[–]Arsid 5 points6 points ago

I'm guessing it's related to the bed of nails experiment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo2iE94iAoA

Basically, the pressure is being distributed over such a large area on your foot that it doesn't cause as much pain. Watch the video, it'll explain it better.

[–]imnotgoodwithnames 1 point2 points ago

Except the bed of nails is stable and flat. Pressure is evenly distributed. With a random hill of legos, not so much.

[–]Arsid 0 points1 point ago

I'm no scientist, I was just guessing why it would hurt less haha :) Just a shot in the dark

[–]saintbrodie 3 points4 points ago

Yeah, it's a surface pressure thing. Goes the same way with glass walking.

OH THE HUMANITY

[–]yurimxpxman 5 points6 points ago

Why would they let kids craw into that mess of bricks? They're just going to break pieces.

[–]Brodivh 3 points4 points ago

My mom runs a daycare and lets all the little shits use my old Lego. They just break them and it saddens me.

[–]thermality 0 points1 point ago

I know that feel bro.

[–]Brodivh 2 points3 points ago

I'm rebuilding the collection, though, for my son. He's not really allowed to play with them much yet.

[–]deprivedchild 0 points1 point ago

My mom let's my little bro do the same thing. When I came back home I basically went into mega apex predator mode.

[–]bigshum -1 points0 points ago

I hate your mother and she shouldn't be allowed to work with children.

Now I'm imagining a prison where they just throw you in a cell full of Lego with no space to sleep so you're tortured by constantly lying on Lego bricks...

...but then one prisoner is different. He starts to build things. He makes furniture, and builds a life for himself...

...slowly the other prisoners start to do the same, until one day, the guards realise the prisoners are human too...

[–]d_b_cooper[S] 3 points4 points ago

Copyright that bitch and make a movie!

[–]06405 5 points6 points ago

Worst torture would be having to walk a floor the length of a football field. You are blindfolded and barefoot, the floor is hardwood and there are 1x1 regular height lego strewn randomly about the floor.

[–]birdmankustomz 0 points1 point ago

1x1s aren't bad, its the 4x8s that suck

[–]ShimmerGeek 2 points3 points ago

Eh, nah, all you'd have to do is slide your feet rather than walk :P

[–]d_b_cooper[S] 3 points4 points ago

The Unknown Lego Location Shuffle.

[–]slayerscylla 0 points1 point ago

Would cross it to keep all the bricks in the pit though. What? They all smell like feet now anyways.

[–]DFSniper 0 points1 point ago

i call it the Lego shuffle...

[–]Muskwatch 1 point2 points ago

actually if there's enough lego it's comfy, even therapeutic to some extent. :P It's only solitary blocks that try to become a permanent part of you.

[–]iamtheowlman 1 point2 points ago

"Tell us where the rebels are!"

"Never! I'll never tell you!"

"Bring him to the pit."

"Ha! I eat scorpions and snakes for breakfast!"

"Snakes? Oh, no, we have something much worse planned for you..."

[–]Brodivh -1 points0 points ago

Nice name. But what?

[–]Wtfloki 1 point2 points ago

"This is unacceptable! Send him to the brick pit!"

[–]ATierney 1 point2 points ago

This is what happens when sadists get in charge of things.

[–]bean1s 1 point2 points ago

Why god why?????

[–]steps_on_lego -2 points-1 points ago

What? I don't get it.
