Cool, should be possible to create a real one in glass, put it on a rotating disc and see it IRL. Would not even be that expensive. Awesome gift.

I thought the same thing at first, but it wouldn't work. The tubes are angled down and to the left on the inside spiral, but up and to the left on the outside. At some point they must flip themselves over, which wouldn't be possible with a simple spinning glass thing.
