What the heck are "hula hoops"? (I am only familiar with the ones that you hold up by gyrating)

Hula hoops in coffee, or you know Photoshop^® image editing software.

edit: Re-scaled the owl overlay better.

If you notice, the contrast in the feathers and the beak almost exactly match up with the foam in the coffee. I have no idea how much blending the original creator of the the coffee image did around the eyes. It is obvious that they blurred the owl a bit. The owl was placed over the coffee image and a screen blending mode was used. The opacity of the overlay was then lowered to make the owl eyes in the coffee.
