I've seen a few different posts of cats being dragged around floors, and they're always already perfectly clean floors. If I did that with my cat (if I had a cat), that cat would be so dirty by the end of it that it would be noticeably heavier.

TL;DR - I need to clean my floor.

My roommates and I once had a party at our apartment. At first everything was going well and a fun time was had by all, but as the night progressed into the wee hours around 2am one of my roommate's guests spilled a drink and in his drunken state rather than grab a paper towel or something to clean up his mess he grabbed... the cat. Needless to say the cat was not very pleased with it and that was the point when my roommate decided to call it a night and kick everyone out. Now for any parties or gatherings we've had since we have the disclaimer, "We have one rule, no using the cats as mops."

Apparently our cat was so adorable that his co-workers wouldn't let him forget about the incident for weeks though.

tl;dr cats are not very absorbent and your friends will shun you if you try to use one as a mop.
