Perhaps because of the fact that when taking the context into account, you just uploaded a photo of a guy who was actually risking something by sending a photo to someone while sexting. Whether you sexted this person or someone else did, you are willingly contributing to the spread of a photo that was meant to be private.

That is why you should feel bad.

I'm currently too lazy to point out all the flaws in your comment.

How do you know? A person could find that sexual. Some men don't think that a photo of themselves in a woman's clothing should be posted on the Internet. A lot would care. It's not up to you to decide whether or not someone's PRIVATE photos should be spread on the Internet.

If this person was walking around in public like this, then it would be acceptable, because they are making it as public as they possibly can. The context that is given with this photo implies that this was a PRIVATE photo that this person did NOT try to spread all over the Internet.

Imagine some fetish that you had. Something you did not feel comfortable sharing with the world. Someone you trust asks for a photo of it. You give them said photo. The spread it on the Internet, even though it was meant for just you two. THAT is not a good thing that person would be doing, and YOU are doing something wrong right now.

So THAT is why you should feel bad, and are a terrible person.

Why should we feel embarrassed about things we do in private? It's like we don't want people to see who we really are. If you do something that you don't want people to know about your only hiding from the truth, if you get it out there, people can except you for who you are, and if they don't except you then they're probably not the people you want to be around.

Someone keeping certain matters private is not the same thing as showing who people really are. I'm not about to go in the middle of a mall and strip down, or have sex in front of a crowd. There are things that I want to be private, because whether people know those things or not I am the same person. If I have private habits, they are my private habits that no one has a right to reveal to the whole world.

It's not the embarrassment that matters so much as the betrayal of trust. Someone, somewhere, felt such a lack of respect for a person that they leaked private information about them to the world that the victim was not trying to make public.

I can tell people all I want what size my penis is, or how I have certain moles in some places, or how I like to have sex, or even my extremely strange fetishes. However, even with that information out there, I still wouldn't be okay with people spreading out the visual representation and recording of me doing those things.

It's like someone picking their nose in private, and someone takes a photo of it so that they can show everyone what they did. The person does not pick their nose in public because they feel that is inappropriate. They feel embarrassed because of the fact that it was something private and personal that is now exposed to the whole world.

We all have things that are private. Everyone does, no matter how open they are. There are things some people just won't do in public. It doesn't mean they aren't showing people who they really are, it just means that they don't feel like having their private life out there for the world to see. The term "behind closed doors" exists for a reason.

It's not your right to decide who gets to reveal what private aspects of their life. They alone have that right.

That does answer your question actually, if you would actually read it. People shouldn't be embarrassed about private matters that they do in private, but once those private matters are made public, then they have every reason and right to be embarrassed. Things that we do in private ARE private because of the fact that we want them to be private. If we don't see it as a public thing, then we will possibly be embarrassed when something that isn't public is made public.

It's not about being embarrassed about private acts, it's about being embarrassed about publicized private acts, which is a completely normal and worthy response.
