Only tangentially related, but I used to work IT at a very large university.

We used to have to take action when we found out that a student was illegally downloading on our network (the RIAA/MPAA would notify us when they caught someone). First offense is a warning, second offense, and you don't get on the network for a week (only internet; you can still use your roommates internet to do classwork, etc.)

One Honors student calls us Friday before finals week and complains that him not being allowed on the network that week was inconvenient, and could we please change the time that that would happen?

Lols were had.

Totally off topic. But must inquire a question. Where did you go to school for IT? I hope me going to ITT Tech (being a trade school) is still as valuable as a university 0.O I'm only in my associates for NSA
