I had an art teacher with some kind of degenerative muscle condition in his legs. He could move them, and even stand up for a few seconds if he had something to pull himself up by, but he was wheelchair bound because they would quickly give out.

i got to mark this one as a FAIL. I know a few people that have to be in a wheelchair most of the time, but can walk a bit and stand when they need to. Not funny

I think her left foot is in a cast or brace.

You know there are people out there who have disabilities that don't outright stop them from using their legs but rather for an extended period or time or under extra burden, such as doing half an hour of grocery shopping. No need to jump to the gun and pin someone immediately as a fraud, she very well may not be able to be on her legs for more than five-ten minutes at a time. Maybe she has nerve damage. There could be so many things that justify a wheel chair but doesn't mean she can't walk.

Why the fuck didn't she just ask the person to give next to her to grab it for her. She is all ready taking advantage of one wheel chair perk

Perhaps because a lot of people with chronic pain issues or tissue/bone diseases/deformities are:

A. generally embarrassed about their condition because of feelings of lesser worth and uselessness and subsequently attempt to do as much themselves as possible

B. supposed to, even if it hurts them immensely, get a little bit of exercise in, even if it's only standing up once or twice a day

C. naturally more anxious or prone to introversion because of their condition and thus less likely to attempt to get someone's assistance
