For anyone that doesn't know but cares (though most people do know and don't care), Lovits never said Andy Dick killed Hartman.

When Hartman's wife shot him, they needed a replacement for Hartman's character on News Radio. They hired Hartman's SNL friend Jon Lovits. Prior to this Andy Dick had allegedly been responsible for getting Hartman's wife (who was a recovering Coke addict), back off the wagon. The night Phil was killed he told his wife Brynn if she starts using again, he'd leave her. She shot him while he slept and eventually shot herself.

So after Hartman was killed, Lovits showed up at the set and everyone introduced themselves and welcomed him to the show. When Dick went to introduce himself to Lovits and welcome him, Lovits told him, "Fuck you, I wouldn't be here if you hadn't given Brynn that cocaine."

That's pretty much summarized the rest of their working relationship for the remainder of News Radio, and I wouldn't doubt of Andy Dick did approach Lovits in a bar and "give Lovits the Hartman Hex". Andy dick is a notorious sociopath and substance abuser, and I wouldn't doubt Lovits did bash his face against a bar 4-5 times.

I actually liked Andy Dick on News Radio and The Andy Dick Show, bit I'd bash his face into a bar 4-5 times if he ever approached me.
