To be honest that forum seems to agree that the riots where ridiculous. Posting this could either be taken as a light hearted joke... or more like it'll seem like your accusing all of them of over reacting like the rioters.

I think the former is more likely, I hope, the intent was to bond, this is reddit after all, i would expect the muslims here to be of a pretty light-hearted mind-set. It's done now anyway, if only one person discovers the power of 'Ted' then it was not in vain.

Do I mind? No I don't mind! And even if I did, the only reason I could is because I'd be missing out on meaningless, intangible karma. I can't help but think this would be hypocritical in light of the nature of the post in the first place.

As far as your meaningless, intangible karma is concerned I don't think it would be that meaningless if it happens. It would be great to get a load of muslims over here for a cup of the ol' tae. We can showcase our hospitality in the only way we know how, by takin the piss and demanding that they love us for doing so. And vice-versa of course. I'm enjoying browsing their sub/reddit. Muslims, great bunch of lads.
