                For the ones interested and especially the fans of Indiana Jones I strongly recommend: Raiding The Lost Ark: A Filmumentary By Jamie Benning (2:23:11). The guy found all of the material regarding the film and edited it to one big master piece. All there is to IndyI, here it is. Behind the scenes, audio commentary of Speilberg, Lucas, Ford, etc., etc. Of course the story of the fight scene is there mentioned, too.

                  You're right, I looked into it a little more. There was originally a big fight scene where indy took him out with his whip, but it proved to be too big a pain in the ass. In the end, ford made the suggestion to just shoot the guy, and BAM! Movie history.

                    I'm a martial artist and have dabbled in Capoeria a bit. His kicks are definitely Cap.

                    Also context, it's during a fight, person won't breakdance.

                    Also if you didn't know, Capoeria is a mixture of dancing and fighting.

                    Depends on the style.

                    Angola is usually pretty low and more focused on dirty tricks and being uppity, Regional (and Contemporânea) are a lot more showy and with more spin and power behind the kicks.

                    What this guy is doing is more akin to what groups do at shows and events. Showing off the acrobatic stuff.

                    Not that there isn't a mortale or two when playing, but a lot of the time, there isn't.
