[–]omnilynx 273 points274 points ago

What would be really cool is if it somehow swapped out the treads on the back side so it was different every time.

[–]iPhritzy 64 points65 points ago

Put a piece of tape horizontally, so that you know where the track restarts, and then each loop just choose one color to grab. Yellow, then red, the blue, then green.

[–]DICKSUBJUICY 85 points86 points ago

I was thinking the same thing. After a week or so it would get really repetitive and routinely easy. It would be nice even if you could manually change, move, and or adjust the wall pegs.

[–]mindokiller 121 points122 points ago

I believe the hole/bolt configuration allows the holds to be adjusted manually.

[–]IronMangina 46 points47 points ago

The challenge is doing it while somebody is actively climbing on the machine you're altering.

[–]AlwaysDefenestrated 127 points128 points ago

Hire a NASCAR pit stop mechanic or three. Problem solved.

[–]cubicplains 40 points41 points ago

[–]mahound 31 points32 points ago

disappointing gif

[–]Japandrews_Trip 65 points66 points ago

NO DISAPPOINTING COMMENT! If you're going to bash someone that posts a gif you had better have a better gif ready to go.

[–]i_practice_santeria 20 points21 points ago

I think his point is that the comment and link combination implied a video depicting something similar to the parent comment's vision. The simple, overly used head-nodding gif he provided was therefore a major letdown.

[–]SkepticalPanda 4 points5 points ago

I really did want to see an amazing example of nascar pit stop efficiency, so I had to youtube it instead. Here you go

[–]IamAppreciated 6 points7 points ago

[–]Dosh82 1 point2 points ago

[–]AlwaysDefenestrated 1 point2 points ago

F1 is always better except when referencing for comedic effect.

[–]onedrummer2401 10 points11 points ago

Treadmills would get boring too. I don't think it's necessarily about the difficulty but rather about the continuous climbing. that's why it's a play off the word treadmill.

[–]daiz- 2 points3 points ago

I feel like running is running, treadmills can simulate inclines and randomly vary your run, similar to an exercise bike that frequently changes resistances.

The experience of rock climbing is having to find places to hold on and stretching / straining muscles to reach them. If this thing offered you a whole 30 seconds of variation it would eventually just feel like an only slightly more difficult ladder. It wouldn't offer nearly the same exercise value as the real thing, which I think is not as much the case with treadmills.

[–]4everadrone 3 points4 points ago

What if the speed of the tread and incline of the wall were dynamic?

[–]torokunai 3 points4 points ago

I was thinking something a bit more high-res, like if this thing had a ~80DPI way of creating actual rock-like surface features on the front face. I should patent that shit.

[–]rgeguypic 24 points25 points ago

Or even you could use it like a regular treadmill, except you would have to dodge the rocks while running, or you might fall.

[–]linkdafourf 5 points6 points ago

Thinkin outside the box, thats how you get to college.

[–]GrinningPariah 7 points8 points ago

I'd have each piece of the tread have a sliding slot in it, too small for fingers, and then a little motor that randomly slid each handhold some distance while it was on the back.

[–]zpkmook 4 points5 points ago

Yeah if rock climbing places had one of these it would be the size of their normal rock walls, and have different speeds on multiple vertical sections of the track, so certain areas changed quickly, adding difficulty. Or at least in the home version make it bigger than this shit.

[–]roaddogg2k2 4 points5 points ago

There used to be one of these at my gym years ago when I was a kid. Wasn't motorized, but you could adjust how fast it moved somehow, I can't remember. Quite a bit bigger than this thing though. I remember they had some competition to see who could climb Everest on it.

[–]rHCRHS 2 points3 points ago

Well at first it will be really difficult when you cant make it to the next one, so it pulls you around to the back side, where you are now upside down and trying to crawl down to the front side

[–]brodaniels 37 points38 points ago

It's like you're saying "this" with a gif.

[–]Durpadoo 16 points17 points ago

It's exactly the same. But Reddit loves their reaction gifs. It has colors and movement, not like those boring words.

[–]AlwaysDefenestrated 5 points6 points ago

It's not exactly the same. With the gif I actually have to waste time clicking on it before I'm disappointed with the comment.

[–]didaskaleinophobic 1 point2 points ago

Your problem is that you still click on links.

Use Hover Zoom or if you're on FireFox

[–]AlwaysDefenestrated 4 points5 points ago

I'm on a cell phone.

[–]moronthannot 3 points4 points ago

I can't stand them.. Downvote every "this" and reaction gif I see.

[–]beatsandpulses 2 points3 points ago

How many fucking times have you posted the same gif?

[–]Axelfrost 0 points1 point ago

The complex I live in has one and it definitely a problem. Now that I think about I should go in once a week and change it.

[–]CauseItsTrue 0 points1 point ago

You could make the treads wider and they just move side to side randomly as it rotates from the backside.

[–]romad20000 0 points1 point ago

You can swap out the handholds and add different types Mg old gym used to have one it was the shit

[–]Homer69 1 point2 points ago

This has been around for atleast 10 years from what I know. I went to a place for sports training and they have had it for years

[–]ALBINO_ZEBRA 0 points1 point ago

Yeah your body adapts so quickly. Maybe u can change the location of them or something. Like maybe on the back you can take out each hold and randomize it every try,

[–]daiz- 0 points1 point ago

I think if each of those panels were double sided and they were able to flip themselves at random on the back side, this would be somewhat achievable. Paired with the ability for the thing to randomly alter the degree of its tilt, I think this thing could be an actually fun way of exercising.

[–]Mr_Zero 0 points1 point ago

Put the handles between the slats and have an arm that is threaded and moves the handles randomly while it rotates.

[–]Mr_Zero 0 points1 point ago

Place the handholds between the slats attached to a threaded rod. As the wall rotates turn the threaded rod rotate to move the handles randomly. Top level would be the Dan Osman level.

[–]LeonardLP 67 points68 points ago

I've used one of these before. The one I was on wasn't automatic, but as you climbed it it moved down.

[–]asimov_fan 22 points23 points ago

That's probably for the best unless you're able to keep up the same speed constantly!

[–]Venjamin 22 points23 points ago

Automatic = get shoelace stuck and destroy your ankle.

[–]bonkus 20 points21 points ago

my climbing shoes don't have laces so I'm fine. VELCRO FTW

[–]LeonardLP 3 points4 points ago

I guess so! I just figured that most people who haven't seen them before assume they're like a vertical treadmill.

[–]GargamelCuntSnarf 5 points6 points ago

I did.

[–]faknodolan 2 points3 points ago

The motorised one has a sensor at the bottom, it'll stop moving when you stop climbing.

[–]HelloDesktop 2 points3 points ago

Did it keep you generally in the same place?

[–]LeonardLP 2 points3 points ago

In general, if you stayed at the same pace.

[–]Tebasaki 37 points38 points ago

"Call for a quote?" What do you need a quote for? It looks like it all comes as a standard package. I don't trust sites that don't have prices.

[–]habitue 44 points45 points ago

I like how the quote is "free!". Like they are doing you a favor by not charging you money to tell you how much their product costs.

[–]cbarrister 20 points21 points ago

if you have to ask the price, it's expensive.

[–]LlamaLlamaPingPong 12 points13 points ago

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.

FTFY

[–]HelloDesktop 2 points3 points ago

They often have different features and are quite expensive. By asking you to call, they make sure that they can follow up with people who are interested and give you a sales pitch.

It's not meant for the Average Joe to buy.

[–]bootsmegamix 1 point2 points ago

I looked at other sites just to get a price, one was asking just under $8k for just the product, extra for setup

[–]Pipelayer 25 points26 points ago

Had one of these while in school (the univeristy owned it) and it NEVER worked. We would get it up and running and a day later, broken. It was such a tease to see this awesome contraption and not be able to use it.

[–]FreddieMercuryPoison 26 points27 points ago

I go to a humongous gym where they have a bigger version of this thing. It works great, but for some reason no one uses it but me. I guess they think it's too embarrassing to do in front of others. Meanwhile, the ZUMBA class is always full.

[–]on_the_redpill 3 points4 points ago

I climb quite a bit in a place with strong climbing culture but have never seen one of these things indoor anywhere, which is probably an indication of how this machine is perceived.

I think I'd play around on it for a minute but I don't think I'd use it to actually train. The idea of a wall jostling around while you're climbing a 5.12 seems silly as hell, and completely unrealistic, not to mention it only fits tiny little routes.

Here's the one you were probably talking about

[–]mimicthefrench 4 points5 points ago

I don't think it's marketed at climbers - it's not supposed to help you with navigating walls, it's supposed to exercise your body in a way that other gym equipment might not. However, the market of people who are not climbers but would be willing to try this is extremely small.

[–]Keirhan 2 points3 points ago

this is actually really good for building stamina especially if you have climing experience, at one of my old climbing walls they had 3 of these, one with big jugs another with smaller holds and another with tiny holds. the routes on it were switched often as well to keep it interesting.

[–]gsn42 24 points25 points ago

Jug haul.

[–]on_the_redpill 7 points8 points ago

You should see the dyno on the other side.

[–]bonkus 4 points5 points ago

And that ugly-ass crux... mantling onto the top of the thing while it's moving...

[–]Shylocv 3 points4 points ago

Came here to say this. Genuinely pumped I wasn't the first.

[–]on_the_redpill 2 points3 points ago

I think you were close because it doesn't look like many people in here climb. I like the guys shoes in the photo, though.

A moving wall would be terrible for challenging climbs... jostling about while you're trying to crimp along.

[–]ranthonyv 73 points74 points ago

nice climbing shoes,

[–]captncraig 46 points47 points ago

That seems to be the biggest indication that this is not marketed at serious climbers. At least the ones I hang out with would never touch one of these. A small static bouldering area would pretty much accomplish the same thing for much less.

I don't even know who they are trying to sell this to. You'd think with the cost of it they would bother to get a model that knows something about climbing. This guy obviously doesn't.

[–]GeneralMillss 26 points27 points ago

My guess is that it's marketed to large gyms.

[–]GrandmaTITMilk 10 points11 points ago

I disagree. The climbing gym I go to has one kinda like this

[–]GeneralMillss 65 points66 points ago

So what you're saying is that the large gym you go to has a bigger version of the same thing?

[–]prince_of_tacoma 22 points23 points ago

I see what grandma is saying. There are bigger versions that are sold to gyms. The smaller version is sold to consumers. I do not know how accurate grandma is though.

[–]horsesemen 21 points22 points ago

The Internet is so fucking weird sometimes.

[–]EvilHom3r 10 points11 points ago

Says the talking horse sperm.

[–]horsesemen 10 points11 points ago

It was supposed to say horse's men. One too many e's :(

[–]mimicthefrench 19 points20 points ago

I hope you understand why I'm having a hard time believing you.

[–]Keirhan 6 points7 points ago

i disagree as someone who was a serious climber over a year ago i have considered buying one of these to retrain my muscles. this would be especially good for long climb training especially with the smaller holds AND its perfect for training people who are worried about heights. one of the most concerning things with a new climber is that the heights scare them into not moving their legs up properly. this would train the muscles and reflex's needed then you can work one the heights thing separately.

[–]notquiteworking 4 points5 points ago

Edit: I had a long, clear, concise argument explaining why this climbing treadmill was a fun novelty experience but that it wasn't forserious climbers and I then said Keirhan was far from a serious climber and used his past comment history to explain why.

It made me feel mean so I deleted it. Have a nice Friday everyone.

[–]mramaad 2 points3 points ago

Actually these things are really good for building stamina.

[–]on_the_redpill 5 points6 points ago

...so is hanging on a pullup bar, or hitting a regular rock gym.

[–]gimmietheguncarlton 4 points5 points ago

I used to frequent the rock gym a lot in college, but the only one anywhere near me is a 45 minute drive. As an adult with a job and a family, I don't have that kind of time. Especially not to make it a normal workout. I would love to have something like this for my own house so that I could at least simulate climbing in a gym.

[–]robotobo 1 point2 points ago

Also, his form is terrible. He's just sitting there locked off when he should have his elbows pretty much straight.

[–]malfunktionv2 5 points6 points ago

My community college has one. Breaks down all the time.

[–]rajington 6 points7 points ago

We have one of these at my apartment gym. Just to be clear, it works off of gravity only. You adjust the tension on the side of it, as you climb you get pulled down.

The one we have is by the same company, but it's twice as wide which means you can climb with a friend and race to the top which is one of the best workouts I can do except my workout friend is too good. They also have ladder attachments to make it easier.

Some people mentioned that it might get repetitive but it's actually very tall considering it wraps around, you're more tired than bored. Some parts actually add fun, because the spacing gets really tall at some parts so it's like you have to sprint so to speak. It's like a mini interval training session.

[–]ClockworkCustoms 4 points5 points ago

where do I buy this?

[–]funkgerm 10 points11 points ago

You know that thing is gonna be expensive when you have to get a price quote haha.

[–]mirrax 6 points7 points ago

$6,000 basic $8,000 for the pro http://www.uniquefit1.com/categories/view/153

[–]raging_asshole 2 points3 points ago

As an employee of a company that does quite a bit of quotes, I would guess that they prefer to do this so that a) they avoid sticker shock, b) they can try to offer a discount on multiple machines (like for large gyms or fitness events), and c) they can try to find out what kind of lead time you need, and what kind of delivery services, so they can either make more money on those services, or offer to discount those services in order to help close the sale.

[–]StewieBanana 3 points4 points ago

Words like "Treadwall" always force me to look at the components of the word as well as the word it's playing off. Wouldn't "Climbmill" or something cooler sounding be more appropriate?

[–]mindokiller 3 points4 points ago

I think if they used clever branding, treadwall would sound better. The "climb on" treadwall would sound more appropriate. Climbmill sounds weird to me.

[–]panders2reddit 0 points1 point ago

[–]harry_deepwood 2 points3 points ago

reading through this thread makes me think that wall climbers are kind of douchy.

[–]Fakk 1 point2 points ago

Exercise machine.

Jacobs ladder

Mid 90s.

[–]lucidlemming 1 point2 points ago

My university has one of these in the rec center. It's really cool and an amazing workout.

[–]latticusnon 2 points3 points ago

This kind of thing has existed for years.

[–]ejurkovic93 0 points1 point ago

We have one of these at school and they're really good for training strength but it does get repetitive.

[–]soyjesus 1 point2 points ago

Looks amazing, it would be cool if you could have one that you could program various routes in and like share them on a social media site or something like that... Varying difficulty, inclines, etc. It'd be neat if it was wider too to allow horizontal traversal.

[–]Carnifax66 0 points1 point ago

Amazing

[–]goldenjuicebox 1 point2 points ago

I've used this a couple times. You can change the angle and difficulty (how fast it 'scrolls'). It's pretty fun and the faster it moves, the better the workout.

[–]mider-span 0 points1 point ago

This plus a treadmill and an infinity pool....man that would sweet.

[–]Oed0 0 points1 point ago

Is this a thing?

[–]Villike 0 points1 point ago

We've had one of those at my gym for many years now, it's pretty fun. You set how fast it goes by how much it resists your weight pushing it down. It looks more like a rock climbing wall than that one does though.

[–]RDJesse -1 points0 points ago

Imagine the horror that would incur if they allowed your ex to have manual control of the speed throttle.

[–]Turious 0 points1 point ago

My local Laser Tag place has one of these, but it's bigger and unbranded. That things is a hoot once or twice, but nothing spectacular.

[–]emohipster 0 points1 point ago

They had those at the McDonalds playground when I was a kid.

[–]kn3rdmeister 1 point2 points ago

I've been one of those... they are pretty fun... it's especially fun changing the speeds on your friends

[–]ianwashere 0 points1 point ago

I am throwing my money at the screen right now!

[–]SlimStevie 0 points1 point ago

That would get horrifically repetitive.

[–]canuckfanatic 0 points1 point ago

I've used one of these before, when the route become predictable, the challenge is to go faster and faster, eventually you'll reach the top faster than the wall can come down.

[–]rtp17 0 points1 point ago

If I was an evil villain I would definitely have a few of these bad boys over a snake pit or something of that nature. For all those times I catch the good guys and have to find a way to get rid of them.

[–]Ace_Pigeon 0 points1 point ago

10 grand.

[–]oldsock 1 point2 points ago

A friend from high school worked for them for a couple years, seemed like a good company.

[–]BCCHWrangler 1 point2 points ago

They have one of these at the climbing center I go to. It's quite a bit larger and is automatic. You control the speed with a lever on the side. They also have taped, graded routes on it which they change often. So not only do you work on endurance, but you work on technique as well. It's good for people who do not have a climbing buddy, as no one needs to belay you.

[–]Duolo 0 points1 point ago

I used one of those at the hockey hall of fame in Reddeer Alberta

[–]dan_t_mann 0 points1 point ago

shuttup and take my money!

[–]The_Maddog 0 points1 point ago

I saw one of these (or a larger version of) a few years back at an exhibition event.

There instructor/demonstrator was like spiderman on the thing....and she had a nice ass. I spent some time watching that! Her ass...not the machine..just so we are clear.

[–]theBMB 0 points1 point ago

I wanna see a video of someone going all spiderman on one of these things

[–]Aragatz 0 points1 point ago

Lee Adama?

[–]mitchsully 0 points1 point ago

Why does this have 1k + upvotes?

[–]MoNkEyxJOSHH 0 points1 point ago

Been on one of these before, it was awesome

[–]Alcoholicia 0 points1 point ago

My local college did a study on calcium and how it affected growth in elementary aged students so they rented Treadwall's for every elementary school in our town. They just threw us up on those damn treadwall's and wished us the best of luck that we didn't break our necks when we fell off.

We'd also have to climb 2 at a time and if the other kid was not as physically fit as my 9 year old self I got super annoyed because you'd climb to the top and have to like hang around and wait for the other kid to start working as hard.

Also, there's a difficulty setting so it can go REALLY, REALLY fast, or maaaaad slow.

TL;DR In elementary school I climbed on one of these things all the time and it was awesome.

[–]Ass_Dragon 0 points1 point ago

They have one of these at the gym at my base. It's pretty cool. The one here doesn't move on a motor. It uses your weight to pull down the side you're climbing on and some sort of brake to control the speed.

[–]Octavarium_ 0 points1 point ago

Ha that idiot doing anys. Just stick to yellows.

[–]saxamaphoneman 0 points1 point ago

Real men use campus boards

[–]Sirianjazz 0 points1 point ago

I thought it said Treadwell.. I was expecting a hungry bear to appear when you reach the top.

[–]Basic_Subhadra 0 points1 point ago

Shut up and take my money.

[–]SheepWrites 0 points1 point ago

I've used one. They're okay but I'm 6 ft 2 so it's kinda sucky since it's built for kids.

[–]BackFlipJack 0 points1 point ago

They have one of those at my rock gym those things make kids hit the floor all the time

[–]caribbeanz 0 points1 point ago

I was messing around on one of these today. They have one at Planet Granite in Belmont.

[–]paint3all 0 points1 point ago

The local mini golf/arcade place and skating rink/arcade each had one of these.

[–]xgil 0 points1 point ago

holy hell is this real?

[–]PatrckBateman 1 point2 points ago

Anyone have a spare couple K so I can get one?

[–]TomBaum 0 points1 point ago

Shouldn't it be called a Wallmill? I feel like the mill part kept consistent. Its the tread they swapped with a wall...

[–]gupsy 0 points1 point ago

There used to be one of these at the ESPN Zone at the inner harbor in Baltimore. They're pretty cool I guess but ultimately get boring.

[–]delbocavista 0 points1 point ago

Someone reads Uncrate

[–]juicius 0 points1 point ago

There was one like this at the ESPN Zone that used to be in Buckhead, Atlanta, GA. I was pretty fit back then and I gave it a go. It's pretty hard, actually. You have to constantly move and can't rest.

[–]bigbadler 0 points1 point ago

Thanks, but I'd rather not get sucked through the bottom of that thing.

[–]Mike_HuntII 0 points1 point ago

My school YMCA has had one of these for at least 6 years now. A pretty ingenious design actually.

[–]spacebaconkitty 0 points1 point ago

Shut up and take my money!

[–]Dannath 0 points1 point ago

Hmm... this kinda looks like human guitar hero.

[–]StrawberryJamal 0 points1 point ago

Been on one similar to this. Much fun was had.

[–]Solophonic 0 points1 point ago

They had one of these at my high school, of course it just sat around never getting used, but you can move the parts around to make the wall different.

[–]EngagementBacon 0 points1 point ago

And you thought a that treadmill nightmare was scary...

[–]kept_calm_carried_on 0 points1 point ago

Badass.

[–]ASlyGuy 0 points1 point ago

This man will never escape his Sisyphusesque grave.

[–]BirdInTheWater 0 points1 point ago

Does this remind anyone else of icicle mountain? I just imagined the treadmill changing speeds randomly and reversing direction while you try to catch up.

[–]ministerok 0 points1 point ago

I thought it was just a rocker panel that tilted as you got higher until you got ninjafied.

[–]mathgod 0 points1 point ago

How is this getting so much karma? I have one of these at my gym, it's nothing special.

[–]ThatGuyRememberMe -1 points0 points ago

It wouldn't require as much work to climb with it going down and all.

[–]Gr33n47 0 points1 point ago

These things are really fun. They have one at my local "fitness arcade." and it's the only thing my fat butt can do.

[–]rrymak 0 points1 point ago

if you have never been on one of these you have to try it its awesome for speed climbing. they usually make them wider though so you can strafe as well so it doesn't get repetitive.

[–]ZaWahhuh 0 points1 point ago

I've been on one of these before!

[–]dredawg 0 points1 point ago

Awesome, another piece of workout equipment I think is cool but am too lazy to ever consider using.

[–]zfrancavilla 0 points1 point ago

My immediate thought was Sasuke, Season 1.

[–]nobadtimes 0 points1 point ago

My college had one and I used the FUCK out of it. It's a great workout, girls love to watch, but it sucks if you are tall.

[–]ropers 0 points1 point ago

[–]briemoo 0 points1 point ago

My high school had one in the workout room of the gym. I hated it. I'm a faller, not a climber.

[–]SpArTiCu5 0 points1 point ago

They have this at my college. It's actually quite fun. I do it for fun, not the exercise part.

[–]MedievalKnieval 0 points1 point ago

Brilliant metaphor for being a member of the workforce!

[–]NeoSpartacus 0 points1 point ago

Finally! I been sayin' it for years. I been sayin' it since American Gladiators. I been sayin' I'm afraid of heights...

[–]iknowthisisweird 0 points1 point ago

Those are bomber holds. This seems like it would kill technical moves/make for some lame training.

[–]charlie1337 0 points1 point ago

they have one of these at the gym i climb at. it's kinda annoying.

[–]HiLoPicoLo 0 points1 point ago

I've used a circular climbing wall which rotates as you climb up on one side of the wall.

Treadwall: sucking all of the fun out of rock-climbing since [whenever this was invented].

I do it for the routes and technical challenge. It's fun for me, and the workout comes free.

These have been around since the 90's

[–]richchchia 1 point2 points ago

As a climber and employee at a climbing gym, this makes me wonder how it would compare to a climbing wall or an actual route. Regardless, all of you should get to your closest climbing gym!

pretty stupid

[–]NoLongerABystander 0 points1 point ago

Not so uncommon. There was one in my gym.

[–]Monorail5 0 points1 point ago

Used to have one at the Tennis club in Wenachee of all places.

more like this one though http://vimeo.com/6345870

Saw that for sale. 7 million dollars.

Season 1 of Ninja Warrior called...

[–]a23y1 1 point2 points ago

They are right, the iPhone 5 is larger!

[–]ZeusMcFly 0 points1 point ago

Make it really fun, put a pit of scorpions underneath it.

[–]Jordan011 0 points1 point ago

We have one of these on base out in new mexico. Thought it changed every time. /facepalm

[–]120minute 0 points1 point ago

I've tried one of these out before. It was pretty fun.

[–]TheJizzle 0 points1 point ago

Son of bitch!

I invented this thing years ago. It was much larger in my head though.

[–]zdur 0 points1 point ago

You can adjust the angle as well as the holds, obviously depending on how much money you invest in them. They are actually great for working on certain climbing techniques.

[–]butthurttheprequel 0 points1 point ago

This thing sucks. It' all jugs, I don't know how you could seriously train with this other than endurance training, but even that would need smaller holds.

[–]Pr0x1mo 0 points1 point ago

As a rock climber and having these at our gyms, i can tell you that its completely useless.

[–]bloodguard 0 points1 point ago

If I ever get stupid rich I'm getting one of these for my "game" room.

[–]riottaco 0 points1 point ago

These are so fun!

[–]spid3rkid 0 points1 point ago

Amazing.

[–]WordsBird 0 points1 point ago

They have one of these at my gym (rock climbing gym). It's a bit of a disappointment when compared to an actual wall because of its repetitiveness, but I can see how it would be a nice at-home workout.

[–]kinggarbanzo 0 points1 point ago

We have one of these at our local community center. Fun stuff.

[–]GenkiElite 0 points1 point ago

What about it? These things have been around for at least 20 years.

[–]nowgetbacktowork 0 points1 point ago

I have always wanted something like this- I love climbing but I am totally petrified of heights ( I know- its stupid but its true) I totally want this!!

[–]alwayschoosepeace 0 points1 point ago

this would be insane, I use something call Jacobs ladder. Fucking kicks my ass

[–]girlonfirex12 0 points1 point ago

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MOMEY!

[–]MunkyCharmer 0 points1 point ago

these are really old... and still have the epic flaw of being way too short. the loop begins way to quickly again

[–]Wrestles4Food 0 points1 point ago

Or a regular treadmill where you smack your pinkie toe ALL the time.

[–]blacklblskate54 0 points1 point ago

We have one of those at a gym near us. Pretty fun, but not very tiring.

[–]hepdd 0 points1 point ago

They have these, at least the YMCA near my hometown did.

[–]seductive_monkey 0 points1 point ago

I upvoted because the guy is attractive. I should feel bad, right?

[–]xoxoUT 1 point2 points ago

This is actually pretty cool

[–]dangoodspeed 0 points1 point ago

It comes with a nice thick pad for when you fall off, right?

[–]Infinityq 0 points1 point ago

As a climber: jug holds... jug holds everywhere.

[–]Dreddy 0 points1 point ago

Looks expensive but I know one of you clever bastards will figure out how to build one for cheap and then post instructions for the glorious sweet sweet karma.

I'll wait for that.
