This one was relatively simple, actually. Just opened the gif in fireworks and put the upvote on top of the egg he eats in the original.

How's that work? do you have to place and resize the upvote on each frame?

Yeah, i kept it the same size for most frames. keep it in sections... the first bit when it is falling they are all the same size. the crumbs are two different sizes, and a bit of creative cropping of the upvote bitmap when it is in his mouth.

Why not use After Effects and motion track the egg, parent to null and then put an upvote on it and track to the null?

I use After Effects, but for something so small and short like this, Fireworks is just fine. The motion tracking isn't always that reliable and I end up having to do things frame by frame anyhow.

I like going frame-by-frame. I don't know why, haha. I have explored fireworks and premiere quite extensively, photoshop a bit, and now I think I need to explore After Effects.

Are you one of those people who expect submissions to be hand drawn on paper to be considered OC, because I hate that. 98% of all "content" has to begin somewhere, if with an image, tv show clip, movie clip, etc. It still can take hours to cut footage, splice together scenes, add animations and render compressed output.

Which we all know is the best kind of correct. You took the picture, it doesn't exist anywhere else on the internet; hence, it's ORIGINAL CONTENT that was not just pulled from somewhere and re-hosted.
