I emailed them about this actually. It has to do with how shipping and stuff works in different regions. NA ships things so that they will receive everything on Tuesdays whereas EU are more lax with everything and go for Thursdays. Australia takes it up the bum and thus counts as the same shit as EU regions.

Because in Europe retailers want to release games on friday and if it's not Call of Duty Gamestop sais: "If you release the game on Tuesday via Steam, we aren't gonna sell it!"

No. Using a VPN to unlock a game isn't illegal (valve said nothing on it). It's only illegal to buy a game with a VPN, so you get it cheaper.

Install a VPN like Spotflux. That's what I did and it works perfectly fine for me.

Whilst there's no widespread reports of people getting banned for using a VPN, it is officially against the new Terms of Use agreement. I wouldn't risk my thousands of dollars in games just to play 2-3 days earlier.

I've been playing since the USA release date in the UK

just preload the game and use a VPN (I'm using the 7 day free trial of hotspot shield elite, google it)

I recently came to Australia from America and saw ads everywhere for borderlands 2 coming out on the 20th. What makes it worse is being 17 hours ahead so in total, Australia gets the game 65 hours after America. Considering it is the 19th at 8PM, stop complaining. You get it in 4 hours.

...i pre ordered Borderlands2 when it first became available and just moved country from UK to sweden. Having no computer for another week and a half is going to be tough, but all worth it for finally being together with my girlfriend.

Just 1 and a half weeks then i finally get to play the games ive been looking forward to for so long. Mists of Pandaria and Borderlands 2 >.< Have fun playing everyone! Just think australia, you could be in my place with no computer capable of running games at all ;)
