When Wil posted this about a year ago, someone pointed this out, and he said it's just a joke and this is why we can't have nice things.

I begged to differ, I feel the joke is funnier if the line is "I've only violated the prime directive nine times."

I downvoted your post because it is a repost, as much as I enjoyed it, I cannot upvote a repost.

HOWEVER, I did upvote it the first time I saw it, so this pretty much balances the karma I've given to you to 0. So enjoy all the nothing I've given you :)

Thanks! I made it a year ago on comixed. I know that's no badge of honor, but we all have to start somewhere right?

I was so proud when Wil posted and then tweeted it. I frontpaged on memebase, and even though it was memebase, frontpaging someplace felt good.

Anyway, I'm funny occasionally. This was my first big hit and I didn't even know it until it was over. I guess I just want to ride it a little.

Funny though... Picard had at least 9 documented cases of violating the prime directive (all absolved) during that episode with the great civil rights speech (I wanna say season 5?), but only had even some implied boning with Dr. Crusher in the series finale (seeing as they were divorced in the future timeline). So while funny, your meme is shockingly inaccurate.
