I am, Warcraft fans asked for pandaren race since Burning Crusade (me included), they were already present in Warcraft 3 and the fanbased maps for said game.

When Wrath of the Lich King was announced, i heard rumours that they were going to implement 2 more races again, but it ended up being only the Death Knight class.

This may sound silly because of the fame the Kung Fu Panda movies have gotten. I´m actually looking forward to this expansion as the content seems more like the fantasy we discovered when we first saw the game, instead of all the darkness that came with the other expansions.

EDIT: Also, I´m getting the Colletors Edition, that´s how much I´m expecting this game

Glad to see one person with a logical sequence of thoughts in here rather than the cancerous "lol Kung fu panda" "kids game" shit these threads (and to an extent what OP was implying) usually draw. Yes I will be playing this, the areas are giving a large continent (7 zones all the size of Uldum), instead of 5 large zones spread out around the world randomly, the monk class is very fun and I have been wanting it for a long time. I will be going for realm first 90 monk, I am going Orc however for the convience of not having to fight 5000 people for the starter quests (also I will miss the initial cram in the 85 leveling zone as well). I am getting the CE but as I will be out of the country for launch, I have also purchased the Digital Edition. So yes I am looking forward to this game, especially the lore. Chen Stormstout is a fucking badass. Also the Asian inspired music/ architecture is awesome.

Its ok, everyone thinks it at least once upon seeing literally a kung fu panda. The fact that you are able to listen to reasonable people explain why they are excited about it though puts you above the slavering retards that hold "Kungfupanda" as their only weapon in a "WoW is dying!" crusade....

I would be if WoW isnt so old and played out to me. Id really like to try another class that tanks and heals but at the end of the level cap its the same cycle - raid, pvp, level an alt, make money, get acheivments, or grind dungeons for gear. My schedule doesnt allow me to raid, I did the PVP grind back in burning crusade on a mage, All of my alts are currently at 83 or 85, I have 200k gold Im not using, I do the gear grind twice every patch to gear my rest/feral druid, and any of the acheivments I want take way to much time for the reward.

I think a consensus among WoW players is that it's silly. Will that stop people from purchasing it? Probably not. Extra content is extra content.

I love World of Warcraft.

Maybe that's not the right wording. I loved World of Warcraft. Mists of Pandaria had little to do with my problems in the game.

I played from the beginning and the game has changed from something that was fun to something that is so ridiculous that I can't find enjoyment in it anymore. There is no community in the game anymore and it has turned into 4chan. A bunch of aged hipsters, adults acting like children, and children who act like thugs. Civility has left the game and I chose to leave it then.

I think it's weird that people are making such a big deal about this. It's certainly not the first cartoonish aspect of the game. There's a truck ton of silly stuff in WoW.

In 2 to 3 years it will be over. Once Acti-Lizzard starts losing money the server shrinkage will will begin. We may get to a level cap of 100, but by then who will care?

I wasn't in to the original Warcraft games but from what I understand, Pandarin (the panda dudes, obviously) were a race in warcraft 1-3 and many fans of the games are excited to see them included. Honestly if I still played WoW I'd be pretty excited for it

Yes we get it, there was a movie with a panda that did kung fu, thats FANTASTIC... Trouble is, the brewmasters have been around for years and years before that movie was even a though in anyone's head.

Really all you prove with a post like this, is that you are too near sighted to really have a GOOD opinion one way or another. Zomg, this black mesa game came out recently, its totally copying CoD cause it has guns and shit, OH OH AND it totally copies crysis with a power suit.

Like... do you realize how ridiculous you sound when you say shit like that? Honestly, I feel sorry for anyone who pulls the kung fu panda card, because honestly people are laughing at you. People think you are a retarded new age gamer that thinks everything that has come out in the last 10 years was 100% original content.

But oh well. I personally am not terribly excited for the expansion, I'll play it regardless because ALL my friends still play. I will not however wait with baited breath for it to release. In fact im letting it sit for a month at least before i get it.

I know WoW is dying, i knew this day was coming and i embrace it gratefully, all good things have to end (was that from some movie? can´t remember). Blizzard has given us a fantastic time discovering and experiencing Lord of the Rings-type adventures. We have fought forgotten enemies, ancient gods and mutant frogs with spears, it was fun while it lasted and we will still have fun until the servers slowly merge together until it is time to shut them down(which will surely take several more years).

I´m not saying that Blizzard and WoW are THE SHIT, but they have done a pretty good job in the videogame industry, despite selling out to Activision, and we should praise them for their achievements and try to forgive them for their missbehavings.

Why do you think this expansion is dumb? I just want to hear a more elaborate response than just "it´s dumb because it´s dumb".

Dude, I fucking agree. Vanilla WoW was awesome, I was there, I played, Molten Core was the best thing to happen to me. BC was also good, and the content they brought out with it opened up the game. WotLK was fun, but it was starting to enter a stage where Blizzard had obvious difficulty coming up with new designs, and that's cool, this is the 2nd expansion in an ever-expanding game, of course you are going to have issues right? Then Cata, which IMHO was awesome, but had issues i.e. making the game a bit easier in terms of leveling. But who the fuck cared right? In the face of that, you had awesome new features such as the dungeon finder and other shit. And now this? Fuck man, fucking pandas? You've had Draenei, Blood Elves, Goblins, Worgen and now just fucking Pandas? That is bullshit man. Sure, they have a back-story and were always going to be implemented at some point, but as the singular new playable race in an expansion of their own? Does anyone even remember the April Fools Day where they announced the Pandas as one of the new playable races for BC and everyone laughed and was like "Ha! As if THAT'll ever happen". Well now it has, and just look at it.

Edit: I mean, you could have said the dungeons were just samey and boring. No innovation to them. Hell you could have commented on the raids (I personally can't seeing as i never tested any of them) you could have even commented on the class changes OR HELL, even the new class itself. Yet you chose to say the expansion is bullshit because of the least consequential thing it is bringing to the table, a new race. Alrighty then, to each his own I guess.

It's not the fact that the race was an april fools joke, it's just that is how stupid it is. And anyway, the race is the whole entire thing surrounding this expansion. The new area IIRC is the race's homeland. So, EVERYTHING in the new expansion revolves around them. That is why it is an issue.

Well yeah people still play because all their "stuff" is in there, i still pay every month although i don´t play it everyday as i used to, sometimes months go by without playing the game, but i always know that if i´m in the mood i can just log in and do some raids or dungeons.

It would be interesting to hear why you seem to think it is dumb though. I mean you must have a well thought out reason for saying that. :)

I personally think it's pretty sub-par as WoW expansions go, Silly? nah, but sure as hell not up to par with what we know for a fact blizzard can do as shown by previous expansions. I'd say less that WoW is dying, than WoW is being slowly PUT to death. but that is for another topic.

The problems with WoW have everything to do with the dumbing down and nerfing of levelling content and character development (spells, talent trees, glyphs, etc) to the point where every toon of Class/Spec X is an exact cookie cutter duplicate of every other players' Class/Spec X that's been going on since WotLK and nothing to do with pandas.

TL:DR Panada got nothing to do with it; WoW's become - "grind experience to level a toon identical to everyone else's so then you can grind currentcy to buy 'best in slot' gear identical to everyone else's so we can have a contest to see who's best at mashing the five buttons in the 'rotation' that's the same as everyone else's."

The pandas are a layable race. When runescape adds playable races Ill give them another chance. Until then Im done making X, banking, and repeating for hours to get from 73 to 99
