I dream of an internet where every block of text, image or video is posted once, and only once by the content creator. I dream that these pieces of original content are never linked to, re-hosted, referenced or shared by any other content consumer. They should remain pure, seen by the original audience or discovered by happenstance through deep and random exploration of the web. Attempts to direct others to content that you have discovered should be discouraged, leaving that content hidden and un-linked so that others may experience the solitary joy of discovering it themselves and then also keeping it a closely guarded secret. Those found committing the sin of reposting should be stoned by their community.
