Explanation: I can't stand gifsound's poor presentation (bland layout, links and distracting text everywhere - basically everything except the image and sound distract you from what you came there for). Your idea is too good for that kind of treatment!

Then allow me to help you avoid issues in the future:

First, starting a conversation with Ok....why bother MIGHT be sending the wrong message before your message has even started. This generally is seen as negative so don't be shocked if the response you get is then defensive.

Second, we call that a repost round these parts suggests that your original question was rhetorical since you are now answering your own question.

Finally, assuming/suggesting someone was reposting doesn't typically start many friendships. It looks more as if you are attempting to call someone out for calling out a repost, which I wasn't.

No, you were not. Those were backhanded comments. They were worded very clearly and I got your message: you're being rude. You don't want someone being "defensive" then don't insult them. YOU insinuated incorrectly, I explained, you then make the same assumption again.
