A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

I remember getting this and clocking up 65 hours played in the first 7 days. Whilst going to school that week, I was amazed at the time at that figure.

My grandma bought a PS2 and this game for all of the kids to play at her house one christmas. There was one thing she forgot: a memory card. We didn't care, we played it and played it for hours on end, and when we had to leave, whenever we would come back we'd pick up the controller and start playing again. It was the same thing sure, but we didn't care. My brother managed to get to Hollow Bastion in one day, but sadly he had to quite because it was getting late. My grandma never really bothered us while we played either, but we would always set the controller down and be with her for a while. We finally bought a memory card for it, but my grandma had passed before we could beat it. We were selling some stuff at her house, and being there reminded me of how much we played that game, so I decided to pick it up again and beat it myself. I had since lost the disk for the game, but luckily my computer was good enough to play the game using PCSX2. I had bought a wired xbox controller just for that so I could have the closest experience possible. Once I beat it, I never really thought about how much the game impacted my relationship with my grandma, since I went over there so much I saw her a lot and really got to know her. I remember that when she had gotten sick, they put took her out of the hospital and put her back in her house, since there was nothing they could do more for her. I walked in one day, and she couldn't talk anymore I had found, but when I saw her I was too shocked by the state she was in. My cousin told me later that her face started to glow when I walked in. Thanks for an awesome game, grandma.

Who else tried the "Level 100 in the Destiny Islands" challenge?

Best I did was around 40something and then my PS3 (which I'd copied the save to) yellow lighted on me.

So many shadows... so freaking many.
