I think they've tried to consolidate one of the most intimate parts of a physical relationship; cuddling, relaxing, being cared for and nurtured. Sadly, in such a society of herbivore men, it seems that they have no interest in the women available, but their desires to be cared for are still present.

Therefore, inventions such as these, love-pillows, real dolls, and other such devices that we consider the height of creepy are considerably more commonplace out there.

Japanese men who are so discouraged by the difficulty in attracting women ( who, by and large, earn more than men the same age) that they give up on women entirely, and engage in their own persuits.

Its a fairly large phenomenon, and a direct parallel to the MGTOW movement in the us. Check out /mensrights if you are curious.

No, just an alien. I may have a slightly warped view of Japanese males, I learned a lot of Japanese by going to tachinomiya. Those fellows certainly had no gift with the ladies, yet most of them were married.

My boyfriend once took a flight on a plane that was nearly empty. The passengers consisted of him, another white guy, and a large Asian family. Waking from a nap, he opened his eyes to discover an elderly Asian man curled up with his head in his lap. He looked across the aisle, where the grandmother was sleeping with her head in the other white guy's lap. The guy just kinda shrugs at him and goes back to his book. Weirdest thing was that most of the seats were completely empty, and the nappers could have had pretty much any other row to themselves.
