My reaction was pretty much the same but I figure they used some kind of not toxic safe paint and made sure the dog was super comfortable as they painted him. If they are gonna put him in the spotlight like that im sure they covered their bases. Otherwise PETA or whatever other animal group is out there would be all over it. Im sure that dog is living a very happy and spoiled life.
