Borderlands... Plot. Doesn't really compute.

In the end, it wasn't the vault that was memorable. You started on pandora as just another vault hunter. Even the residents are tired of seeing you come and go. "The vault is a myth, you'll get yourself killed" they say. Then you kill Sledge. People begin to look up to you, but not everyone is amazed. By the end of the game, you have made friends, wiped out three major bandit factions, send a private army packing, and killed a inter-demensional world destroyer.

I think the journey was better than the destination. If you want a cake with the cherry on top, try out the DLC "Secret Armory", probably the best of the DLCs, but most of the 4 were very good, decently long expansions.

To the whiners, "Whats the point if there isn't a good story."

The story of Borderlands 1 was cohesive, if you didn't have the attention span of a goldfish. There are large chunks of plot material that appear in text and in audio logs. If you didnt have time to read/listen to those and then whine about the story, shame on you.

"Why should i buy DLC to get the ending that i want. I should get it for free."

Gearbox is one of the few developers doing DLC right. There is no horse armor, just big block of post-release material. Travel to a zombie infested islands to stop Doctor Zed's evil twin? Check. Fight the new invasion of the Crimson Lance, and their wise-cracking general. Then gain access to more loot than you can fit in one go? Check. Fight off the Interplantary Ninja Assassin Claptrap, and his army of freedom fighter claptraps? You bet your ass. This is quality DLC done right, and its a shame if it gets buried under a wall of whining, entitled babys.

In the end, if you are playing Borderlands for plot, you're doing it wrong. Gameplay is king here. In this here loot based fps rpg, you will be getting into huge firefights, scanning the ground for loot, checking it against your current items. Sometime you get the best drop ever. Sometimes, you see a new weapon type and just have to try it out. Borderlands really made a name for itself in a tired hybrid genre, and every preview and video confirms that they are doing right everything they did wrong, doing better everything that did okay, and leaving alone the things that were perfect about the first game.
