Revering the universe, caring for nature, celebrating life:

Pantheism is the view that the universe and "God" are one and the same. Pantheists therefore reject the idea of an anthropomorphic, personal god. The overarching idea is that there is something to be marveled at when you look at the beauty of the cosmos and the laws of nature that guide its manifestation. And that our time spent with the consciousness that has emerged from the universe is to be cherished.

Pantheism is comprised of a broad range of views. Ranging from new age spiritualism to staunch naturalism to something similar to Taoism. All views are welcome and respectful discussion of opinions is encouraged.

That's really cool. Oddly relevant.

It's weird how pertinent this is... it's like, change is the only constant, so how do you deal with it? If we had the answer, then the question is no longer relevant, so... shit... moving on...

I agree. Especially in light of the growing Muslim violence in the middle east. I really thought that the world had made a step forward in the last decade away from violent religious fervor and toward unity as a whole. Now I turn on the TV and am reminded of how sporadic and variable human nature is. The best thing we as individuals can do is keep moving forward.

hmm hmm great comic, and indeed oddly relevant. just a quick tip to maintain your faith in the goodness of humanity, dont watch tv, it really is like poison. and a quick thought: is moving forward the same as progress?

I know. I try not to get sucked into it, but it's literally almost everywhere.

"is moving forward the same as progress?"

I guess it depends where you are and what you're moving forward to.

Woah, let's not get sucked into anti-Muslim propaganda. Yea, there will always be crazy religious idiots killing people in the name of the their god, and they will get the most media coverage. Especially when it provides a convenient distraction from real issues right before an "election." What I didn't see in the media this last week was the extremely peaceful carnival at my local community center. You have to take anything the media concentrates on with a grain of salt.

I would not say I'm sucked into anti-muslim propaganda. I'm aware that isn't how the majority of muslims behave, but the fact that it is how anyone behaves is testament to how long our road still is to peace.

You're absolutely right. Humanity is making process, slowly but surely. Two steps forward one step back. Hopefully we can get there before we destroy ourselves.

Psilocybin mushrooms in the last panel?

Crazy, I always pictured any "higher being" as a form made from pure light that would take a human form as to not freak us out.
